spring-cleaning-730x410

Spring has finally arrived, which means the dreaded spring clean up is among us! It is always important to do a deep clean at least once a year to ensure your home and it’s contents stay in good working order. Not to mention a clean home is a healthy home! Make spring cleaning 2018 a breeze with this list:

  1. Appliances: dishwasher, stove, fridge, microwave, washing machine
  2. Countertops: especially granite and quartz
  3. Cabinets: you want to get rid of the grease that builds up overtime on your kitchen cabinets when cooking
  4. Baseboards: we often forget about our baseboards and the dust they collect
  5. Carpeting: you can find steam cleaners for rent at your local grocery store
  6. Tiles: backsplashes including bathroom shower tile
  7. Windows: inside and out
  8. Closets: clean and organize
  9. Paint: use leftover paint to touch up marks on the walls
  10. Dusting: use extendable dusters to get high/hard to reach spots
  11. Furnace: your furnace filter should be changed every 3 months so take this time to see if it needs to be changed. Your furnace should also be serviced at least once a year.
  12. Mattress: sprinkle a thin layer of baking soda over entire mattress and let sit for a couple hours. Vacuum thoroughly.
  13. Pillows and Comforter: these bulkier items can be thrown into the wash once or twice a year
