Everything You Need to Know About Canada Day 2018 in the Capital!

Most museums will be FREE July 1st including: The Canadian Aviation & Space Museum, the new and improved Science & Technology Museum, and the National Gallery of Canada to name a few.

OC Transpo buses are FREE to the public all day July 1st.

Most grocery stores including Farm Boy, The Super Store, and Loblaws will be open Sunday and closed Monday.

Malls are open Sunday and closed Monday except The Rideau Centre which will be open both days.

LCBO and Beer Stores are open Sunday and closed Monday.

 

Festivities

On the Hill:

  • Starting at 8am catch the opening ceremonies, and Snowbirds flyby  
  • Noon and Evening shows include: The Arkells, Lights, Ruth B, and Elijah Woods & Jamie Fine
  • Fireworks 10pm

Majors Hill Park:

  • Catch programming and performances by The Beaches, La Bronze, Yao and more!

Canadian Museum of History:

  • Enjoy indoor & outdoor live entertainment for the whole family.
