It’s that time of year again! The biggest birthday celebration in Canada. If you’re lucky enough to live in the capital region, you will have plenty of great activities to choose from on July 1st, Canada Day. Here are just a few of the many events planned that day in Ottawa 2016:
Changing of the Guard Ceremony: 9a.m. *Parliament Hill
Peace Tower Carillon: 10a.m. *Parliament Hill
Canadian artists take the stage: Noon and Evening *Parliament Hill
Music performances and activities: All Day *Major’s Hill Park
Family activities: All Day *Canadian Museum of History
Free concert: Noon-10p.m. *Jazz Festival
Family activities: All Day *Walter Baker Park in Kanata
Fireworks: Parliament Hill- 10pm.
Navan Fairgrounds in Orleans- 10:05p.m.
**Most museums in Ottawa have free admission on Canada Day so be sure to check them out!
**OC Transpo is also free all day
